To Members of the Clan Lamont Society

 

Please be advised that as of 18 October 2025 five members of the SocIety’s Council including one of the two Vice-Presidents and the Treasurer have resigned as a result of a loss of confidence in its President. Members might find it concerning to know  that this brings the total of resignations so far in the three past years of the  current presidency to ten.  

 

The Vice President concerned has addressed a letter giving the principal reasons for his resignation to the whole membership since it was the members who elected him to the Council in the first instance and latterly to the vice-presidency.  Since the President withholds the membership list from the Council, no-one else knows who the members are and it isn’t possible send for him to send the letter out and so I have requested that the letter be distributed.   If you are a member and do not receive a copy, please email the Society’s Secretary..   Failing that, please contact the former Vice-President who will forward you a copy.
